What is probability?
A probability is "the measure of the randomness of an event", in other words, the number of times that an event may occur to the total number of tests.

That is what a coast?

A coast is an estimate of its chances of victory, directly between the favourable to unfavourable event events. A coast of 3 against 1 to 3: 1 note. The first digit represents the number of favorable cases, the second being the number of unfavourable cases. The number of total cases is equal to the first digit supplemented with the second. In our example, there are therefore 4 possible, 3 are favourable to us, 1 is adverse to us.

Coasts of the pot?
Coastal applied to the pot meet the following question: an adversary stimulus $ 20 in a pot of $ 50, you must follow?
-Calculate the coasts of the pot.

This is tantamount to establishing a coast that you must invest in the pot compared what you can win. When your opponent relaunches $ 20 in a pot of $ 50, if you call, you invest $ 20 to win $ 70. The coasts of the pot are then equal to 20: 70 to 2: 7 or 1: 3. 5.

That is to say that you pay 1 for trying to win 3.5. If you have not played stakes poker, then before doing so you need to have a sense of how it works.
